When I am going to shoot a wedding, I usually have scoped out the venue and have some ideas. Usually regarding where on the property might be nice to shoot at certain times of the day or areas that will match well with the wedding colors. Sometimes I have an idea of recreating an engagement photo on their wedding day, or sometimes the bride and groom have ideas of specific poses they would like.
Well.. sometimes Mama Nature says “that’s nice kids.. no dice”! You have to throw all those plans out the window and kind of fly by the seat of your pants. Fortunately, me and Mr. Wahlberg (my camera) are besties and make a great team no matter what is going down. That is what happened on Saturday.
Michael and Meagan got married at the gorgeous Historic Jasmine Plantation which in New Kent. I love shooting here as the property is so big and beautiful, inside and out. I also love that the people who own it, still have space there and sometimes come out and watch the weddings! The ceremony had to be moved inside last minute but luckily the inside of the venue is just as beautiful as the outside. Plus, a little rain wasn’t going to put a damper on the beautiful couple gettin’ hitched and having a party! That they did, and I loved being a part of Meagan & Michael’s wonderful day. All of your details from the lovely red accents to your centerpieces were beautiful! May your marriage be long and blessed you two 🙂
Meagan’s dress was so gorgeous!! This is totally the type of dress I love – lace!
Don’t they look so happy?? Love!
