The past two months have had me globe trotting! Idaho, Rhode Island, all over Connecticut and now I’m just getting back from Arizona and Utah. I went there for a few reasons but mainly to shoot Thomas & Sarah’s Gilbert Arizona wedding. Thomas and Sarah if you don’t remember are the first couple I ever photographed about 7-8 years ago. March in Arizona is usually pretty mild and nice but I only say that as a former resident. It was about 85-92 for the time I was there, which is beautiful for Arizona. Thomas & Sarah’s wedding day was actually really perfect. There were a few clouds blocking the sun on and off and a nice breeze all afternoon and it never felt too hot. This is probably the longest I’ve spent with a bride and groom on their wedding day. I arrived in the late morning before any of the action and I left after the big sparkler exit and the couple had run off towards their honeymoon. Which they went to St. Maarten by the way, so I’d be sprinting there myself. But both of them were both so relaxed all day. That is probably one of my favorite things on a wedding day, when the couple is cool and calm and just excited about the day. That’s how you should be, not stressed! Let everyone else handle the little stuff.
Thomas & Sarah had chosen to do a first look, which I always love, and Sarah also did a first look with her dad which was so sweet. Then we headed over to the golf resort to take some photos of the couple and the bridal party before the ceremony. The ceremony and reception were back at Thomas’ aunt’s home on the golf course which was so amazingly beautiful!
Sarah’s mom has had those handkerchiefs since her and her sister were born. They came home with them from the hospital, and saved them for their wedding days!
Sarah’s dad’s reaction was the sweetest. Her mom and sister watched from the other side of the room .

Thomas and Sarah – I am so honored that you chose me to photograph your day. It’s been amazing to watch your relationship over all the years, making it so much more special for me. I know that your future holds nothing but sheer awesomeness. Congrats my friends!
