” Come away with me and we’ll kiss on a mountaintop,
come away with me and I’ll never stop loving you.”
– Norah Jones
24 hours before their session, I thought I was going to have to call it and move it to our rain date (which was also not looking good weather wise). It was like 70% chance of rain and I was not happy. However, the weather changed and magically that morning it was down to 15% and we were good to go! Lauren had told me that her and Andrew were interested in a location that had a bit of diversity. They love to travel the world and go on adventures together, which I love. I had mentioned in passing somewhere like Stonington Borough because it has the water and docks, a big grassy area with trees, and a city street lined with shops and beautiful homes, and all within walking distance. They scoped it out and loved it (which it’s hard not to) so we decided their session would be a Stonington engagement session.
I was hoping for a beautiful sunset over the water to finish out our evening. I wasn’t given the rainbow of colors I was wanting, however it was a beautiful blue evening which actually worked really well for these two. I love the images I got of them. They were so great in front of the camera, resulting in a mix of lighthearted sweet images, and more intimate and serene ones. It’s obvious in both the kind of great connection they have. These two are getting married at The Lace Factory next May and I cannot wait for their wedding!
It’s much easier to dance in the streets when it’s a small town 😉
We loved this house’s front door so we borrowed their stoop for a minute.
