I love this family!! Jeremy works with/is stationed with my husband in Norfolk, and I met them after Zack was on a deployment with Jeremy. I bonded with them as they are from California and after having spent half my life in Arizona, we have had many chats about how different west coast life is, and how we miss Mexican food (you guys out here really don’t know what you are missing out on). I’m so lucky to call them friends and even luckier to be able to document their growing family. I photographed Jordan about a year ago, and then the announcement of their baby girl several months later and then over the weekend I finally was able to get Samantha’s maternity session in. She is due on FRIDAY so we got these in just under the wire!
I shot these in a field in between our homes and I have been wanting to shoot someone in this field for ages!! I love these images. The wintery feel was reflected in the clouds, however the sun did come out to play towards the end of the session.
I did a shot for them very similar to this when they announced they were pregnant so I thought it would be nice to do it again, right at the end!
Jeremy is a HAM and wanted some photos of just him.. he is quite the model 😉
Jordan turned 5 last month so I snapped a few of him on his own, he looks SO grown up!
