These two are pretty cute. You might think they were just two young kids in college and fresh in love, however they HAVE a couple kids, and have been married for 5 years! I love that fact, that their relationship is still fun and playful. Heidi is a photographer too! I met her through some local photographer friends of mine. She also is a crazy person who loves running and doing triathlons. No thank you to that I say but you go girl. Jon and her have a very meet-cute story where they had seen each other’s online profiles and emailed but just happened to run into each other at a cafe. Kismet? I’d say yes, and I’m pretty sure they did too. Aside from that whole running long distances just for kicks thing, I feel like her and I are fairly similar, which is one reason I think this session turned out so well. Plus just look at the two of them, they are both pretty photogenic. It was definitely hard to choose favorites from their Downtown Norfolk couple’s session. We met in the Freemason district which Heidi and I had been there together before doing some photo things. The area is so pretty with the cobblestone and historic homes (or mansions). We found a very pretty garage we were going to photograph in front of for one shot, however as soon as we were ready.. the owner came home and parked right in front of it. What are the chances? Regardless, I think the session turned out fantastic and I hope they are as happy with them as I am.
