I met Kelly when we both worked at a university together in Virginia Beach. She was an English teacher and I worked in Student Services. However, our paths crossed because many of the students (and faculty & staff) noticed that we looked similar, or thought we were actually the same person. It actually became quite comical how often people would confuse us, and try to pick up conversations or ask questions they had started with the other leaving one of us completely confused. One year at a party for the staff we dressed in the same outfit to confuse everyone even more! We became each other’s twin, but more importantly great friends. She came up to Connecticut for a visit and get some maternity photos while she was here.
We decided that Harkness Memorial State Park would be a great place for her maternity session. I hadn’t actually been yet, but I had seen a lot of photos and it just looked so beautiful with the gardens and mansion. That morning we were given an even better treat though – fog! The property was gorgeous as I knew it would be, but the fog just took it to another level. I personally love fog in general and am always wanting to shoot in it. It made everything just look out of this world and her images turned out more beautiful than I hoped.
It was so perfect that daffodils turned out to be Kelly’s favorite!
It’s crazy how thick the fog was! You can’t see the mansion at all back there
Kelly you look so beautiful, and I know baby Logan is going to be a smart, handsome little guy and I can’t wait to meet him!
