The weather on the day of this wedding was kind of a photographers nightmare and dream at the same time. It looked like it might rain, but then it would look like it was going to pass by. Luckily it didn’t rain and we had some beautiful and dramatic skies for this Madison Beach Hotel wedding. I had never been to the area and it’s super cute. It was perfect for Bruce and Danielle, they were so laid back and in great jovial moods.
We started right away with a first look. I love first looks, I had one when I got married and it helped me so much with my nerves, and Zack and I got to kind of experience the seeing each other part without a lot of people watching us. Don’t get me wrong, I love traditional weddings too! I actually didn’t want to do a first look, but came around when Zack and I and our photographer discussed it. After the first look, we were able to do all of the bride and groom portraits, bridal party, and family portraits leaving the couple the freedom to go straight to cocktail hour and mingle with guests before dinner! That’s another thing I love about first looks from a scheduling standpoint. They allow you to enjoy more of your wedding because you can do photos prior to the ceremony!
Bruce and Danielle then had a sweet and small beachfront ceremony officiated by Danielle’s uncle. I love when family members are able to officiate, it definitely makes it a little extra special. After that they went on to party with their guests into the night. It was a really great afternoon. The Madison Beach Hotel is definitely a great and beautiful venue for a wedding!
They both had the best reactions to seeing each other! I think all the guests on the deck of the hotel enjoyed it too!
I loved this one!
Oh I could have shot on these rocks all day!
All the groomsmen had superhero cufflinks
Congratulations to this sweet couple. I hope married life is just as beautiful as your wedding day was!
Thank you to Hillary Strater Photography for asking me to second shoot for her.
