” I was crazy about you then and now. The craziest thing of all,
over ten years have gone by.. and you’re still mine. ”
– Jack Johnson
So while I was out in Arizona for Thomas & Sarah’s wedding, I also was able to shoot an in-home lifestyle session for an old friend of mine. I have known Jessi since high school, and was back in Arizona a few years ago for her wedding. I have been wanting to shoot more couple’s sessions like these – married couples, and in their home. In home sessions can be so fantastic and intimate because your home is this sanctuary of you. You have things you do together, your favorite areas, and you just feel comfortable there. So I was super excited that Jessi and Taylor wanted to shoot in their home, that Jessi has fabulously decorated too.
Married couples totally need to have photo sessions. Even if they have kids, and get family photos. These are different. I truly believe that you cannot forget about the relationship and the love that started that family. Getting one or two shots of you alone is completely different than having a whole session just for the two of you. An anniversary or sweetheart session as I like to call them, you get to flirt and play and not worry about the kids. Heck, make a date night out of it!
So here is Jessi & Taylor’s Phoenix lifestyle session. Complete with pool, and palm trees, and a delicious brunch. Pro tip – if the couple likes to cook together, they will probably make you breakfast too (because.. manners).
This french toast was delicious!
Jessi & Taylor, thank you for letting me into your home to capture part of your love story. You two are a great pair and I hope I’m able to photograph you again in the future!
