I love the simplicity of small intimate weddings. Ones where just closest family and friends are there, and everything else is kind of stripped away. This Wallingford wedding I was able to second shoot for Julia Jane was no exception. Chrissy and Patrick started the day at their home. Chrissy got ready upstairs while Patrick waited anxiously (and a little nervously) downstairs to see his beautiful bride. Instead of a traditional white dress she wore a gorgeous beaded teal gown with one of the most aromatic bouquets I’ve ever smelled. They had a first look in their backyard, before we headed to one of their favorite restaurants where they would tie the knot. We spent a few minutes walking around Wallingford, which was adorable and just capturing them. It was sweet seeing people in cars wishing them congratulations and watching Patrick do things like help Chrissy cross the street.
It was so evident how close, and how important family is to both of these two. It was also clear how much love their family had and how united and joyful everyone was for this couple. It was almost hard to tell who was family to whom, as if it was one big family already. You don’t have to have hundreds of people or a huge extravagant affair to bind yourself to the person you love. Your love for one person, and those who support you are what really matters at the end of the day.
Their first look was the cutest. Chrissy could you just be a little happier? 😉
This is happiness folks, get on their level.
