“Anything that I can do, I’ll be good for you. Any kind of love you want, I’ll be with you.”
– Otis Redding
When I met Mary-Kate and Sam they told me they were getting married at home. What I didn’t know is that it was going to be the sweetest little Milford CT wedding anyone had seen. To begin, their home is not just any home. They live in Mary-Kate’s grandparents home. However, Mary-Kate’s grandfather actually built the home so there is an additional layer of meaning and family there. We did all their portraits walking around their property with the sun shining down between the apple trees. All wedding portraits are special, but they have a photo of them on their wedding day on their front stoop. In front of a home that already had a legacy of family and love there.
Couples at weddings often feel obligated to do certain things and I love how these two did exactly what they wanted. I love that Mary-Kate basically didn’t leave the dance floor all night, the only times she did it was to find more people to dance. And suddenly, the dance floor would be full again. Everyone I talked to spoke with such love of both of their kindness and jolliness, which was evident as they laughed the night away. Congrats Sam & Mary-Kate!
Watching your best friend get in her gown.. all the happiness.

Yep, they had backyard games including axe throwing.
When you get married in your backyard, you take photos on your front stoop.
Oh hello beautiful fall beginnings.
