“Home, let me come home. Home is wherever I’m with you”
– Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
If you have been outside recently, and live pretty much anywhere on the East coast you know it’s been a bit of crappy weather. Winter has seemed never ending except for a few sporadic warm days. Our first date for Madeline and Alex’s Oak Grove Lake engagement session we postponed due to rain. As this second date approached I thought we might have to reschedule again, but the rain held out. We got a little sun to start off their session (which beautifully filtered through the trees) before winter decided to take over.
If I could say anything about these two and their session it’s that their relationship is full of laughter and joy. Alex was able to basically keep Madeline laughing the entire time, which is a great quality. Laughter can really make even the hardest time seem easier. These two are from the west coast, and have only been in Virginia for a short time. We had fun chatting about military life and the places we have lived. They are having a wedding in Utah next summer, which I’m sure will be beautiful. They were so natural in front of the camera, I hardly had to direct them at all. Alex & Madeline you two are a great couple and I wish you all the best in this adventure!
Madeline’s ring is so beautiful, nice work Alex.
They both were wearing outfits to complement their eyes.
These two images (above and below) might be two of my favorite from the set and kind of show their love the best.
Perfect place for an engagement shoot, The images are gorgeous!!
