I was really looking forward to this Whispering Pines wedding, in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. I love the outdoors and so this place has a very elegant, camp/cabin like vibe that really makes for a beautiful yet unique wedding. As one might guess from the name of the venue, it feels very secluded in the middle of a pine tree forest. When you are driving down the road that leads to the building you actually travel down a completely canopied road by the pine trees. During the day I thought it was so beautiful. I must admit at night, when I was leaving and it was pitch black it was a tad creepy. Anyways, it is also next to a small lake, and then this wedding was right when all the leaves were changing and the air was crisp and it was pretty magical. I haven’t even gotten to the wedding details yet!
Alex was such a joyful and exuberant bride. She was so happy, and she looked so beautiful. She was wearing a straight up princess gown. Blush, tulle, hoop skirt, and JEWELS. All that was missing was small woodland creatures coming to her when we were outside and the birds singing and the animals helping her dress. Heath was the normal amount of what I have gathered to be groom jitters. Which is why I think their choice for a first look was fantastic. To me, that always gives a feeling of relief and just the nerves fade away and the happiness shines.
Their wedding went beautifully and we even got to witness some Armenian song and dance at the reception which was wonderful and a first for me. It was such a wonderful day and I had so much fun second shooting for my friend Katie Lovaas Photography.
Isn’t this the sweetest reaction to seeing his bride?
Beautiful bride!
These two had a surprise choreographed fun dance after their traditional first dance!
I’m so glad I was able to be a part of this day, and a big thank you to my friend Katie for asking me to second shoot for her!
