“and I feel my heart beating, oh, you make me feel like I’m alive again”
– Coldplay
Central Park is such a beautiful juxtaposition. It’s lush and green and big and surrounded completely by concrete skyscrapers. When you are in the park and you can’t see the buildings or city you don’t feel like you are in the middle of one of the biggest cities in the world. It also has beautiful architecture sprinkled throughout. I’ve been to New York City tons of times, but I had actually never been to Central Park. Now that I have, I see the appeal and I hopefully will be able to make it back a few more times while we are living in New England. So if you are dreaming of a Central Park engagement session, let me know. Moriah and Matt were visiting from Colorado and wanted to have a sweetheart session there and I’m so happy that I got to experience the park with them during their session.
For those of you new to the blog, sweetheart sessions, are basically an engagement session but you are already married (or just dating). I love them just as much because engagement isn’t the only time the two of you should have photos taken together alone. I think throughout your relationship this is important! Your love grows and changes, and that should be documented!
I actually met Moriah at a conference last year. She is a wedding photographer and also does branding for boss ladies. So we obviously took some head shots of her too. It was a bit of an overcast day, which allowed us to shoot earlier in the day. This helped with not having a million people in the background of the images but also, the greenery really popped and so did Moriah’s hair! She looks gorgeous and fierce, at least in my opinion.
