So, this engagement session is special to me. I mean, all of them are because I love all my clients but this one has a lot of history. I met Thomas probably about 8 years ago or so when we were both working at Best Buy. It was the worst of times. Just kidding, but if you have worked at Best Buy during the holiday season, you understand. Also holla and we should get drinks because.. yeah. I digress. Eventually, Thomas became one of my roommates. Imagine the plot of New Girl and that was my life, except I didn’t meet the boys on the internet. Also, if you’re wondering.. Thomas is probably Schmidt except a little more goofy and less douchbag jar. I met Sarah back then as well, because she was Thomas’ girlfriend. So needless to say, we have been friends for a long time.
That would make this engagement session more cool, but what really takes it to an entirely new level of amazeballs is the fact that the two of them were the first couple I ever shot as Tiffany Joyce Photography. I believe their session happened in 2008, and even though I had no idea what to do when it came to posing back then, I still like some of those images. Actually, when Thomas and Sarah arrived to their engagement session, Sarah showed me that one of those photos is actually the background of her phone. Kill me now because that’s a photographer’s dream.
These two live in Arizona, and I happened to be going to the photography conference UNITED so we scheduled the session to coincide with that, at Papago Park in Scottsdale. It was actually sprinkling when we started shooting. We spent a little bit of time hanging out under one of the picnic ramadas and inside a vehicle but the payoff? AMAZING SUNSET. So all around, just awesome evening spent with this couple. I can not wait until their wedding in March because obviously I have to complete this story. For now though – check out their Papago Park Engagement Session.
I love that shot. Thomas and Sarah’s emotion is so cute there.
Obviously I had to include some cactus. And the image on the right? Oh man, Sarah you are gorgeous!
I may have poked myself a few times trying to get this ring shot set up.
This shot of Thomas, is exactly what his personality is like at least 50% of the time.
Didn’t the sunset get kind of amazing?? Guys, I think you look fantastic and I cannot wait until your wedding in March!
Girl! These are so gorgeous! Excellent work. I especially love that ring shot and all of the sunset photos. Incredible!
