“Oh and you look as beautiful as ever, and I swear that everyday you’ll get better”
-James Arthur
Ashley and Brian got married in the trees under both strands of cafe lights and beautiful blue skies at their Pavilion at Crystal Lake wedding. Some of the trees had started to turn and it was definitely feeling a little like fall. Which was perfect for the colors the two had chosen. Ashley’s group of girls all looked gorgeous in burgundy gowns, and Brian’s guys looked dapper in navy suits. Both the ceremony and reception space overlooked the lake, which had the most beautiful evening light that night. When I was shooting their portraits it actually reminded me a lot of their engagement session.
If I had to pick one word for their wedding it would be FUN. Both Ashley and Brian and their bridal party were so full of excitement and joy throughout the day. I can honestly say their reception music was so different (not in a bad way) than most receptions. Usually you get kind of either the classics, with lots of slow dances sprinkled in or classics and more upbeat current pop and hip hop music which is great to dance to. They had tons of alternative songs taking me back to my middle school and high school days. I loved all the special moments they shared with their parents, and it was really sweet to see how much their families love and care for each other. These two really made their day their own, which is awesome as it allows me to get to know them more than I already do.
Brian’s gift to Ashley. So sweet!
For dessert they had fried donuts and ice cream. Ummm yes please.
Ashley & Brian, I hope you guys take the enthusiasm and love for each other, and life, with you throughout your marriage. I’m sure if nothing else, your lives together will be full of fun. Congrats!
