What’s that saying about March? Comes in like a lion and out like a lamb? I’m going to have to agree to disagree. It’s come in like a bear, and decided to hibernate, letting us bask in the glory of winter. Bah! Where’s my lovely spring? I’m going to miss shooting in the cherry blossoms this year for sure!
Iphone snap in the Detroit airport on my way back home from Phoenix. Isn’t this tunnel cool?!
COOKING
When I was in Phoenix a few weeks ago, my sister and her boyfriend made some really wonderful chicken tacos so of course when I got home I had to whip up some for Zack and I, using my own recipe. We love tacos in this house so a new recipe is always a win. Let me know if you are interested in the recipe for these Chipotle panko crusted chicken tacos!
WEARING
In March, I purchased a Fitbit Charge HR which I love! A few years ago I bought a Fitbit ultra I think, which was a clip on thing that measured steps, etc but this one is a watch! I never want to take it off, seeing my steps, heart rate, calories, etc makes me feel motivated to go go go! I went to a wedding and decided to leave it on even though I have much nicer watches and jewelry. I’m glad I did though! All that dancing adds up to a lot of steps and a great workout! 🙂
READING
This month I read some non-fiction for a change! I saw some suggestions on some photographers I follow and I picked up The War of Art, and Steal Like An Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative. I also purchased If You Find This Letter by Hannah Brencher, who I follow on social media and had been waiting for her book to be released. The War of Art was a good read for anyone really who is going after a goal. It’s written for creatives but the words can resonate with everyone. If You Find This Letter is really a beautiful read for anyone and everyone. I definitely recommend!
PLANNING
I’m currently planning on doing some exploring of Connecticut once the weather warms up. I have my list of parks and areas, I’m purchasing a better tripod, and off I shall go! I made a promise? pact? vow? Something! Anyways, I decided I needed to take advantage of the military bringing us new places and explore and adventure instead of just thinking about it! I have 3 years in New England and I want to see it all!
I’m going to need that chicken taco recipe …stat!
